The first week back after a long vacation is always difficult, but this one was extra exhausting since I started a new work schedule this week which has me waking up quite a bit earlier than I was before. It should open my schedule up to give me more time to do some things I’ve been wanting to do for awhile, so it will be well worth it, but this first week has been anything but a cake walk. A lot has happened since my last update so let’s get right to this, shall we?
With my new schedule I’m leaving the house before Bryan most mornings which means I can’t exactly flood the room with light to get a good picture so we’re settling for bathroom selfies..
While I did not read as many books as I had picked out during our honeymoon (let’s be honest I never really thought I would read that much) I did get quite a bit of reading done in the past few weeks.
Now that I am back from our honeymoon, it is officially time to start training for the pole competition I signed up for in November, which means I am starting to listen to my song quite a bit as I am beginning to figure out my character and choreography.
All of our wedding photos!!! My photographer was absolutely amazing, if you are in the Seattle area and need a photographer for engagement, wedding, boudoir, senior portraits, family, maternity, etc I can not recommend Jenny enough, she was per joy to have around during this whole process and she makes magic with her lens! Until I get a chance to go through everything and put together my own recap posts go check out her blog post about our wedding and be blown away by her mad skills.
Our new vacuum cleaner. Does that sound too domestic? Whoops, maybe getting married did change me after all. Seriously though, we went this weekend to finalize our registry, returning a couple of things and picking up a couple of things that are still on there, the main thing being our new vacuum cleaner which I have been eyeing and drooling over since Christmas when my brother-and-sister-in-law (aww that’s official now too!) got the same one.
Writing more, including blogging more. I have a ton of pictures from the honeymoon and wedding, and tons of other ideas buzzing through my head, plus my new schedule gives me an extra hour most days of the week which I have decided to dedicate to writing. So hopefully you will be seeing a lot more of me around these parts.
Looking Forward To
Being Mrs. Holzer, like officially, legally, totally, completely, everywhere. I knew that changing my name would be a big task, but I wasn’t prepared for the feeling I would feel when people ask me what my name is or I have sign an email. I’m having a bit of an identity crisis being halfway in between names right now, none of my cards, ids, accounts match anymore and I’m not entirely sure what legally the correct answer to “what’s your name?” is, and that’s a really strange feeling.
